The Older Individuals with Blindness Program, established in 1988,
provides support, resources, and advocacy to assist Arapahoe, Adams, Boulder, Broomfield,
and Jefferson County residents 55 and older with vision impairments or blindness to remain independent in their chosen place of residence.
The peer groups and activities offered by this program have been tremendously successful in connecting participants with resources available in the community to assist them in maintaining their individual level of independence. This program promotes and encourages individuals to learn new skills that allow the individual experiencing low vision or blindness to remain as independent as they choose to be.
All services are free.
