Poverty and oppression

Last Thursday, the Boulder Outreach for Homeless Overflow had a forum at the Cornerstone Church in south Boulder. Ian Engle, the new Executive Director of the Center for People with Disabilities had a chance to speak on Independent Living issues as they relate to homelessness.
In the five minutes of video, Ian talks about oppression and poverty, building community and he describes the Independent Living approach as compared to the “medial model.” It is a good overview of CPWD and also some introduction to the new director.
